Tiny Tots – Athletes aged 3-4 years
Tiny Tots is an introductory program for children aged 3-4 years and is designed to improve the basic movement skills of younger children, along with social skills and self-confidence.
In addition, it provides something for younger siblings to look forward to whilst their big brothers and sisters compete, and introduces the concepts of being ‘called to a site’ and following instructions within a group.
PLEASE NOTE: Children must turn 3 years old before they can register for Little Athletics.
Due to insurance restrictions, Tiny Tots are not permitted to participate in U6 – U15 Little Athletics events.

U6 – U7 Athletes: 70m, 100m, 150m, 200m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Vortex

U9 – U10 Athletes: 70m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 60m Hurdles, Race Walks, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Turbo Jav
U11 – U12 Athletes: 70m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 80m Hurdles, Race Walks, Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin
U13 – U15 Athletes: 70m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, Sprint Hurdles, Long Hurdles, Race Walks, Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin

Centre Championships
At the completion of the regular season, Centre Championships are conducted. Centre Championships are a special time for the athletes, as they compete in each event one last time for the season.
Both heats and finals are conducted for laned track events. Medals are awarded to the top 3 place getters in all events, all other competitors will receive a ribbon.

Little Athletics Tasmania State Conducted Meetings
Little Athletics Tasmania organises a range of meets to encourage closer ties and friendship between Centres, these State meets include the Coles State Series and State Championships events.
