In honour of the upcoming Paris Games, we will be sharing some interesting Olympic facts and incredible moments. To kick start, here are our first five facts!

The first Olympic Games were held in 776BC.

An olive branch wreath was given to the winners of the Ancient Olympics.

The colours of the Olympic rings; blue, yellow, black, green and red are used in every flag across the world.

The 1908 London Games saw the first opening ceremony.

At the 2024 Games, medals will contain a fragment of the original iron from the Eiffel Tower!

Has your U14 or U15 Little Athlete ever dreamt about competing internationally? We have an amazing opportunity for all U14 & U15 athletes this coming season to compete at the North Island Colgate Games in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.

This is a fantastic development opportunity to not only compete and train, but to mingle and meet athletes from Little Athletics Victoria who we would share this trip with.

Athletes depart Wednesday 8th January, returning Wednesday 15th January 2025. Estimated cost between $3750-$4500 per athlete. This opportunity is limited to 6 boys and 6 girls. If your athlete is interested, please complete the following expression of interest form by 5pm 18th July 2024.
