TRAINING
Athletes are encouraged to attend training to help them improve their technique and performance. Parents are requested to stay and assist during training. Athletes should bring a hat, drink bottle and warm clothes to put on afterwards.
Our primary training timeslot is aimed to be Sunday afternoons 2-4pm. At this time we have 3-4 coaches available so can cater for larger groups. If you are wanting training but this timeslot doesnt suit let us know and we can usually work something out.
These sessions are currently strictly via RSVP for contact tracing and to ensure we have adequate coaches available. We are using TeamApp for reservations: https://kingboroughlac.teamapp.com/
Andrew Tomes is a Life Member of the Centre, who is an Athletics Australia accredited Level 3 coach for sprints, relays, hurdles and jumps. The Centre is extremely fortunate to have access to such a highly accredited coach.
Announcements regarding alterations to training are made only on Facebook. Non-facebook users can access Facebook posts from the Facebook icon on the home page of this website.
Please note: That all training for high jump is dependant upon enough parents being available to assist with the setup/packup of high jump equipment.

During the course of the season we have officials courses and representatives from the Senior athletics clubs come and work on specific track and field events with the athletes. Details of these are communicated through our Facebook page, so please follow for the latest information.
